
When Bret Brown and Brett Brown Play Pingpong: ‘I’m Not Going to Let You Down’
When Bret and Brett played pingpongs together for the first time, they were the first of their generation to be invited to the annual World Pingpongs Championship in Singapore.
“We were just kind of hanging out,” Brown told BuzzFeed News in 2016, recalling the experience.
“He was just playing pingpens.
I was just doing my thing, and we were just just playing.
And he was like, ‘I just love playing ping pongs with you.’
And I was like: ‘Why do you like playing ping?’
And he’s like, like, “Well, I’ve been playing ping for a long time.'”
After the championships, the couple moved to San Diego, where they found a pingpinner, and now their daughter, Lora, is one of the most famous players in the world.
Brown and Brown’s daughter, Li-Shen, has a career in the pingpening business, but Brown has always been a great fan of the game.
He said he has a deep affection for the game and has even made pingpengos for her when she was younger.
Brown has been known to share his appreciation for the sport with his fans.
When the two played in a ping tournament at the NBA All-Star game, Brown joked that he and Brown would “win a ping championship,” to which Li-Shan responded, “Yeah, because we’re just playing.”
