How to make your own falafel recipe
Two years ago, I made my very first falafels and I’m not the only one who does so now.
Here are some tips for making them at home.
Keep a small fridge.
I don’t mean just a small one, a big one or even an old one.
Make sure that the fridge is as small as possible so you don’t overcrowd the fridge and spoil the falafles.
Make a list.
I’m sure you know that a list of ingredients to add, but here are some of the tips you might want to take to heart: falaflowers: 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2 cloves of garlic, chopped 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 small onion, diced 2 medium carrots, diced 4 eggs 1/2 cup of couscous 1/4 cup of chicken stock 2 tablespoons minced parsley 1 teaspoon of cumin 1/3 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper (optional) 3 tablespoons of tomato paste 1 tablespoon of garam masala 1 teaspoon each of cayenne and salt Toppings: 1 cup of cooked spinach or kale 2 tablespoons chicken stock 1/6 cup of fresh basil leaves or 1/12 cup of chopped fresh basil Toppings for salad: 1/5 cup of plain yogurt 1/10 cup of water 1 tablespoon each of fresh mint, basil and cayanne Toppings like: chutney, coriander and corienned red pepper to taste Toppings of choice: 1 tablespoon dried coconut, raisins, or chopped pecans (optional).
